GRID CONNECT Eco Solar not only designs and installs Stand-Alone Power Systems but also designs and installs Grid Connect energy saving systems. A grid connect system consists of a solar module array wired through fusing into a specialist high DC volt inverter which changes the DC input from the modules into AC power 240V 50Hz. From the inverter the AC power is fed through a special export meter reading the total kWh that is fed directly into the supply authority grid. If mains power goes down, the inverter shuts down to prevent a hazard occurring in the supply authority power lines. The total kWh exported into the grid is deducted from your normal kWh meter readings and your electricity bill will show the difference between the two. If you generate more kWh than you use, a credit will be sent to you.
